"Really?" He couldn't resist asking the question as he slouched down a little more in bed to get more comfortable. "I mean...it's been five years, and you're just--well, you're beautiful. Hot, yeah, but you're like...painting in a museum beautiful. Like camping near Mirkwood beautiful, far enough that the streetlights don't mess up your view of the stars."

With a little smile, he runs a hand back through her hair, sweeping it off her forehead...and taking care not to undo any of the braids he can feel catching at his fingertips near the end.
